David is the Managing Director of Ponte Valle and the Australian Associate Partner of itim International, the commercial arm of the intercultural research firm, The Hofstede Centre. Ponte Valle is a consultancy that focuses on global collaboration, leadership engagement and matrix optimization. In partnership with the Hofstede Centre, he leads intercultural consulting and coaching assignments for some of the worlds largest firms.
David has worked with organisations across a wide variety of industries in the areas of M&A cultural alignment, culture change, engagement, multi-national collaboration, business transformation and leadership development. He has also led Learning and Development and Organisational Development functions for global organisations such as the Avis Budget Group and Thales.
He also brings a depth of experience and success in leading international teaming and collaboration projects in many countries including Germany, France, England, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, the United States, South Africa, Portugal, Poland and Romania.

We had the pleasure to work with David on two occasions. The first one was immediately after we re-structured our operation at Thales South Africa, bringing on board a brand new Management Team. David has easily adapted to, and work with, the different cultures in the Team. He brought a new Leadership Team together and generated a level of teaming and team spirit in a short space of time. He was able to facilitate a process of alignment with the new country strategy following the merger of our operations. The second one was at the launch of a new major project which involved multiple entities within the group coming from 3 different countries. He was able to bring a very diverse group together that consisted of South Africans, Portuguese and Germans and get them on task quickly. He facilitated the creation of a project charter that the team felt proud of and that represented what they wanted to achieve together and how they would achieve it.
