Resilience:

Resilience in our team is strong when we:

Treat everyone as equals, and have positive trusting relationships. This trust is based on:
  • being empowered to be solution driven, act and be heard.
  • seeking to understand each other and sharing decision reasoning.
  • embracing others authenticity, bringing your own style to the team and being grateful for what the team represents, who we are and what we do

Create a safe environment where it is ok to make mistakes, feelings are heard, learnings are shared and we come together as a team to find solutions.

Foundation Elements

The words that go into your Foundations need to reflect solid, almost non-negotiable, elements.  These are the elements that if you aren't doing them on a daily basis will mean that your Collaboration, Connection, Communication and Resilience will be impacted.  It means that your Vision isn't being achieved as easily nor your Primary Task.  They can be actions, attitudes, behaviours - whatever you think needs to be part of the Foundations of the RDT.  

When you consider your words, look at the Pillars, Vision and Primary Task.  Do your checks and balances and look for line of sight from the Foundation through to Primary Task.

All of the Pillars will not be validated when you are doing this activity; but you will be seeing the themes and intent coming through from your discussions and what has been shared - in the workshops sessions and your small group work, as well as what's been shared online here.

What are Operating Principles?

Whilst the Vision you created has an aspirational component to it, the Operating Principles are grounded in reality.  What are the principles for how we should be working together on a daily basis that will give us the best chance to achieve the Vision and the Primary Task.

Your Preparation

In preparation for our workshops next week, reflect on your experiences throughout your career and bring some thoughts with you to the sessions on each of these principles.  In particular, you can think of them in this way:

Takeda RDT Vision Workshop

Welcome to your RDT workshop page.  Here you will complete your pre-work and activities for any of our virtual workshops.  We will continue the journey that was commenced last December by starting to construct the RDT Team Charter - Your House.  We will use our Winning Together process to help you build a house that you all can feel proud of and part of.

Creating Your Vision!

Knowing 'what' you are here to do as the RDT is one thing.  But as we explored in December, it is the 'how' that is of equal importance when it comes to achieving that Primary Task effectively.

In our next workshop you will start building the RDT House.  Your team charter.  It consists of a Roof, Pillars and Foundations.  So in the next workshop we will construct the Roof...the Vision.  And this Vision is a statement of the mindset and approach that you all need to be aspiring to every day so that you can deliver on the RDT Primary Task:
